Lake Sam Rayburn hosts many fishing tournaments each year.  The majority of the tournaments use either the new Pavilion, located right next to the public boat launch on R-255, or Twin Dikes Marina.    Both of these facilities are a short drive from Rayburn RV Hideout.

Each tournament has different rules and regulations.  Some tournaments have restrictions on pre fishing, or have a set number of days of off the lake before the tournament.  Entry fees and applications to participate in a tournament vary.   Contact the tournament for specific information.

Tournaments can change due to conflicts, lake or weather conditions, or any number of reasons. 

Weigh ins are free to the public, and offer a good chance to see professional anglers at their best.  Weigh in times vary, and can last several hours in the first days of multi day tournaments.
